It’s that time of year again when Apple prepares to tell us it’s strategy, design changes to its OS and even release some product. The World Wide Developer Congress or WWDC for short is intended to give developers a critical look into Apple’s current and going forward position. It is one of two significant events and although it is targeted at developers it is not for the developer solely.
This year it will be held on June 4th at San Jose, Calif., at the McEnery Convention Center. The one thing about WWDC is it is never boring. Some years may not be as exciting as other years, but it is always interesting.
The General Consumer Ekes out a lot from WWDC
For those curious about Apple’s product positioning and their strategy, this is a great forum in which to get that information. It is also a time of year that brings forward products for today but also lays the groundwork for products that might come out later in the year.
For the developer, a long with the important keynote there are exhibits and of course naturally seminars and courses they can participate in to ensure their products are road worthy. It is always a sell out convention due to it’s significance. At one time, you might just tune in to watch Steve Job’s who was an inveterate showman.
