The next iteration of LG’s flagship product, the LG G7 is being released this coming Wednesday. The device is expected to be quite the incremental increase from the LG G6 with a Snapdragon 845 processor. The LG G6 should have been, for all intents and purposes, a major seller due to its outstanding design but many feel that because it came with the 821 processor it could not gain traction over the Samsung.
However, the software was so well optimized for this processor the phone ran without a hitch. It had outstanding performance and was considered one of the nicest phones to use on the market.
The G7 is Bright
One of the main features being touted by the G7 is just how bright it is. Brightness is measured in NITS. The G6 is already very bright at 600 nits. The G7 though is expected to be 1000 nits. To give you another point of comparison, the iPhone X is just under 600 NITS.
At 1000 NITS it will be easy to see the panel outdoors. Even at 600 NITS, the G6 is very viewable outdoors. The brightness down slider will definitely be a must have on a phone of this nature.
With only two days to go, it won’t be long before we have all the details of the G7. It’s potential, just between having the Snapdragon 845 and the brightness, promise to have it as a leading edge phone for 2018.
